| pitbull house training HELP??? My near 6 month old female rednose is our inside dog, She is always really good about going to the bathroom outside both #1 and #2. Ok, now hear me out. She sleep s in our bed with us, mainly because she is just a big lovebug, lol, but it seems like everymorning i wake up they will be one #2 pile on our den floor. Is there any tricks or tips any of you can give me, throughout the day she is usually good, but it only happens while we are sleeping. |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? I think if you woke up once during the night to take her out once it would help. |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? Yes, I would crate her at night for about a month and then try letting her sleep on the bed again. Or you could put a gate across the bedroom door so she can not leave the room at night. Hopefully she does not poop in your room.
So how many pits do you own now? You said she was your inside dog are the others out side dogs? I was just wondering how it was going having all those young pit bulls If I remember right you had 4 and were thinking of a 5th and were hoping to move. |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? you say she only does this at night. If i were you i would take her out just before you climb in to bed and i would stay out there till she poops,or set your alarm and take her out during the night.Six months is still to young for her to hold it all night. |

She is ONLY 6 months old, I wouldnt think she could hold it ALL night long! |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? Well,...start putting her in a personal size kennel or small room when you go to bed. She will learn to hold herself befor the morning casue they dont like to spoil there living area. Maybe change the feeding schecule around so she goes to the bathroom again befor bedtime...hope it helps. |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? I dont think its a good Idea for your dog to be sleeping in your bed. The dog should be under you in the pack not on the same level. Remember you need to be the alpha dog in the pack. Just because the dog dosnt sleep with you dont mean you dont love him, and the dog wont think any less of you, they are dogs not humans. |

| Re: pitbull house training HELP??? Crating is one way to solve the problem. The other is to try feeding her earlier in the day, so she's had time to poop everything out before she goes to sleep. It worked for me. I used to feed mine at 6 and moved it up to 4, and no more poops in the house. YEY! |
