Day at the beach goes WRONG!!!!!

So i took the GSD to the beach yesterday, I was the only one there... locked the car hid my stuff under the seat...went down....BEST DOG EVER, is half way down the beach, turn around starts growling, hackles all up...takes off a million miles towards the parking lot, i'm running to catch up....soft sand slows the journey... I get up to the parking lot and callie is sitting hackles up gaurding the car...i'm like what the H... go to grab her and see someone has completely hammered the lock out of my car another few seconds and they would have been in....Thank God for GOOD DOGS! still have to pay $400 to get it fixed, but alot less then replacing all my cards or perhaps even my car....

That's great! I can't believe Callie heard it from so far away! Plus she even knew it was your car being broken into!

she's always been super protective, but controllable...i used to worry that i wouldn't be able to control her, but she is so well behaved and just so finely tuned... all police dogs on her sires side...i don't know if that has anythign to do with it

Did you guys catch the thief in the act?

There is one reason I don't have mean dogs. If I caught someone trying to break into my car or home, I would let the dog have at it. Then I would probably be arrested and lose everything I own in a lawsuit.

What a good girl! I always put my purse in the trunk, and if I know I don't have any other stops I leave my cards at home. Only because one time I had a guy who jogs at the same park come running up to me out of nowhere to tell me he saw some dudes pull up and start peeking in my windows.

Well glad to hear Callie interrupted the robbery, though I'm sorry there was damage to your car. Hopefully there were some witnesses that could ID the person who tried to break in as I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened in that location. Give Ms Callie some extra goodies for doing such a good job!
