| Re: Then and Now OMG! You guys, I love these dogs! It makes me want more.
Bishop hasn't changed much, since I've only had him since July. Heh.
But this is him in July at about 2 years old, when I first got him. He was really reserved and unsure.
And this is him a couple months later...nothing's changed, except the smile. |

| Re: Then and Now His Petfinder photo:
Him at 1 year 4 months old, 4 days after I brought him home. He was too sick for me to move from the couch for the first 4 days I had him. If I moved,he's get up and follow me if no one else was there to be with him. He was so sick I ended up having my sister come overe and babysit him to make sure he didn't move. If he got stressed out he would puke.

| Re: Then and Now The only one I have before and after pics are Max. here he is right when we got him. Look how long his nails are! And he was so dirty, and I had to cut so many matts out of his hair.
here he is now, with a toy.
And here he is after I trimmed his ears. He's such a pretty boy. |

I just love these dogs. When I took the "what breed of dog are you" test...... I was a Bernese Mt Dog. Your dogs are just gorgeous.
Evryone's puppies are so cute! |

| Re: Then and Now This was the first weekend we brought Mayzie home. I really dislike this picture because there's just no life in her eyes. She was TERRIFIED.
But then she got comfy and this is what she looks like about 90% of the time now...7-1/2 months later:
And of course, my avatar (which never fails to make ME smile): |

| Re: Then and Now This is Teagan at 3 weeks old when I first picked her out at the breeders. She was so small and could hardly walk.
This was Teagan at 5 weeks old. The breeders were so nice to let me regularly visit her before I could take her home.
This was Teag at 8 weeks old. The day we brough her home. She was so freaking small. I cannot believe she used to be that small. |

| Re: Then and Now Sally when we adopted her at around 9 months:
Sally recently (she's turning 8):
This is Sammy 5 months after adoption, approx 4 yrs old. He is 24 inches tall and when we got him, he was only 26 lbs. His hind leg muscles were atrophied, he was matted and had serious insecurity problems. Here he's about 30 lbs:
One of my favorite pictures, because Sammy became paralyzed last fall, was getting physical therapy and learning how to walk again for months... and this was taken the first day after he was released for normal activity:
Sammy can now do all the things he could pre-surgery although we don't do anything high impact just in case there's a spinal something or other there. He weighs about 16lbs more than when we got him though he's still bony and lean, but he's a setter and we're okay with "lean" more than "emaciated." |
