Pet odor and stain remover thread?

Ok. That's understandable. Can I make a recommendation? Btw, my neighbor has a dog just like Elsa. They're good quiet dogs.

Absolutely you can make a recommendation.

The members of the schnauzer forum I participate in would beg to differ that they are quiet dogs, lol. But Elsa is the exception to the rule.

lol, I thought this was a thread started by someone asking for odour and stan remover advice. I was going to say hardwood floor are great to keep stains away as long as they are wiped up quick. However I find baking soda is great to get rid of smelly odours in carpeting.

I have always used Simple Solution (they sell it at Petsmart) and I've had amazing results. Baking soda also works really well for stronger smells...

Our second dog, Belle, was the hardest dog to housetrain. We'd let her outside for 15-20 minutes at a time to do her business....off the leash, on a leash, in the yard....heck, someone else's yard...it didnt matter. As soon as she hit the carpet in the house, she peed. She'd alway poop outside, but peeing in the house was her thing. We tried sopping it up with papertowels, we have light carpet, so a stain was still there and the smell....ugh...we'd spray anything and everything on it to try to get the smell out...I even tried the specail stuff you can buy at the pet store for carpet pet odors.
Eventually we bought a carpet scrubber....it's a Bissell. It only cost about $175, and by the time you think about all the products and time you spend trying to clean the carpet, and being embarassed about the smell and stain, $175 is totally worth it. Obviously the bottle of soap is $15, but you dont use a whole lot. It's nice to have it for all the carpets, not just because the dog peed. (and you can let your family borrow it)
After we got it, everytime she'd pee on the carpet, we clean it up as well as we could with some paper towel or whatever, then use the carpet cleaner on the spot. It's by far the most effective i've come across.

(Rent one first to see if you like it...but continually renting one would get way more expensive than just buying one)

Nilodor worked very well for me when my dogs were pups now that they are housebroken I don't use it.

Nope, I don't have a need for it. And you seem to have missed my point. If someone asks for a solution to a dog odor or stain removal problem, you're welcome to make a recommendation. However, I didn't ask for it, therefore you're peddling, and there's no room for this in our forum. We welcome your participation in our forum, but not peddling.

If you DO want to advertise your product, you could always contact the owner of this forum and work something out. It's not free, however. >^^;<
