Very odd or very spoiled behavior

Hello,

I have an odd scenario here. I take my dog Lucky on at least 2 walks a day and he loves the walks, that is until about a week in a half ago. We get out the front door and in the driveway he now sits, then proceeds to lie down. He is a Cocker Spaniel but feels like a Rottie when I try to tug him up, very stubborn, He has been on meds for an ear infection, but that is not the first. Has anyone ever had this problem and any suggestions would be great. It’s like he’s telling me WE will walk when I am ready. Once we get out of the driveway when he is ready, our walks resume.
Thank you all!
Mary

Vet check...... this is very odd and whenever you see a change in behavior like this I have to question why...... especially because this is not normal for him.... I would want to know why he is suddenly acting like this.... and I dont think its spoiled.... there is a reason that may not be apparent to us.....

Has anything happened to him while on these walks that might haved scared or hurt him and he's become afraid? My neighbor's dog went through something similar when he passed by another yard and was barked at by another neighbor's pack of dogs, and had a rough time walking without ehbiting anxiety or a tucked tail.

No nothing unusaul we walk by dogs in their backyard barking all the time and come across other dogs, people etc. However, one day when we were walking I saw around a corner we were about to take that there was a Rottie, no leash, no owner etc, and I panicked a bit and yanked him and started going the other way. I know I shouldn't have done that because the other dog could take that as a threat. Maybe he thinks now when we walk I am going to yank him. That's the only thing I can think of thats different?

Thanks for all you help,
Mary
