Basically im looking for Standard vs what's out there that is extreme. there are dogs out there whose heads are as big if not bigger than their necks.
I think what you describe is what im thinking of more blocky than really huge... though I like more of the terrierishness in the head...like Spicy's dog Realm... |

| Re: What physical features do you really like in a dog? I wish I'd seen this before! I have two favorite looks - pretty much obvious from my current dogs
I used to prefer Sadie's style with the foxy face and fluffy hair. Then as I had to groom her and I learned to love pitties, I fell in love with a thicker face and short hair. I LOVE how muscular Hadley is. I absolutely think her body is gorgeous - I love the look of pits, ridgebacks, viszla, any of the lean muscular dogs.
I prefer floppy ears. |

| Re: What physical features do you really like in a dog? I love breeds that have substance and masculinity... I also love dogs with jowels, wrinkles, and just overall mastiff-types.. and usually the large/giant breeds get to me.
- Bordeaux
- Boerboel
- Mastiff
- Cane Corso
- American Bulldog..
and etc. |

| Re: What physical features do you really like in a dog? I love perked up ears and a curled tail, so basically I love anything in the Spitz family, or that looks like a wolf or a fox.
As for fur, I don't like mustaches on humans and definitely not on dogs! I do tend to love fluff on the neck, tail, and thigh. I tend to stray from any animal with a flat face, to put it nicely. xD I also highly dislike wrinkles or floppy skin.
I don't only like the look of Spitzes, though. I love the face of a Pit, I like Papillons/Phalenes. I've grown to love hairless Chinese Crests, Cavaliers. |

| Re: What physical features do you really like in a dog? My GSD doesn't have a big head. I don't like the big, blocky heads. I prefer an Am-showlines type head. I love my boy's head even though he as almost no Am lines in him. |

| Re: What physical features do you really like in a dog? I like long noses, short coats and a well muscled, athletic build. Though, considering the breed I own, I guess that's no surprise. Dobes are also a favorite of mine, along with the other "greyhound-like" sighthounds. |
