Re: Is this saying true about rescue dogs?

Well I can only go by my experience. My first aussie was from a breeder and the second, a rescue dog. I do see a difference in temperment of the dogs which shouldn't be surprising. I notice my rescue is more affectionate and responsive to my emotions...she licks the tears off my face whereas my other dog runs and hides. LOL

So yeah, I don't think it's true lol.
LOL My rescue stares at me a lot as well. When I am making jewelry she stares and goes into this trance (it seems) as her eyes get half closed. I wonder what she is thinking when she is staring at me so often. HaHa

Re: Is this saying true about rescue dogs?

I saw a car magnet at the pet store today. It was a paw print and simply read- "Who rescued who?"

I think it's human emotion. But it's entirely possible it's your feelings and bond that the dog picks up on... eg, every time I see a rescue ad or watch Dog Town, I go give my rescue pup a hug.

I never felt that any of the rescues that I have/had felt this way?

I have felt like at times my rescue dogs had no problems with taking advantage of me if I let them//?

Growing up we had a bought cat and a rescue cat. I felt the rescue cat was greatful, definilty.
