Crazy bath

We just gave Porter a bath and now he is running around, tossing toys in the air, and barking at the cats. He goes crazy everytime he gets a bath. Though durring the bath he gets really sad looking, and does everything he can get get out of the tub. My mom's dog do the same othing when they get a bath. Do anyone here have dogs that go crazy after baths?

Its so much fun watching him bunny hop. I'd let him outside to play i he wouldn't just get dirty again.

Re: Crazy bath

Oh my gosh! Buddy goes CRAZY after baths. It's the funniest thing. He goes tearing all over the house, play bows every two seconds, it's hysterical. Then we settle down and the blow drying and brushing begins (he's a standard poo). I think they do it cause they feel good.

Re: Crazy bath

Yup! Must be part of the doggy bath time routine. They are so happy to get OUT of the tub they do the doggy dance of Joy afterward. lol

Re: Crazy bath

Oh, yes....Bella does the same thing. When I say "bath time", I go upstairs and get the towels and shampoo ready and come back down to get her and she is always curled up in the corner of the couch pretending to sleep, like she's saying "but Ma, see? I'm being a good girl" LOL

Then she sulks through the bath, I towel her off, let her out of the bathroom and ZOOOOM!!!! she's off running around the place, shaking herself so furiously she almost knocks herself over...then she comes at me with the towel and shoves her face into it because apparently I missed a spot.

Then she stops and sits in front of the fridge waiting for her bone.

The monthly joy of bath-time

Re: Crazy bath

My Lucky does the same thing! He puts on his sad, pouty face during the bath... but once he's let out of the tub he runs around the house like a madman and rolls around on his bed.
