If this creep is convicted, a life sentence would be fitting in my opinion.

Make sure he has a prison room-mate named Bruno who still remembers the puppy he grew up with.

Re: Beheaded Dog's Killer Caught

Wow that poor girl has had a tough time of it and then to have that creep who she befriended kill the only thing she considered a friend? And a therapy dog who was helping her cope at that? He deserves a HUGE punnishment, life is to good for him. I agree with RonE....a cell mate named Bruno who remembers his puppy and a maximum security place with guards who are all animals lovers.....and maybe some nasty guard dogs to keep him in line too. What a sicko.
Someone should tell him thats not the greatest way to get girls to like you.....hey be my girlfriend and I won't chop your dogs head off....come on whatdya say???

I'm crying reading that story. I'm just in awe. I just don' tunderstand how people can be so cruel and mean to other living, breathing beings. It just breaks my heart knowing I'm raising my 2 children in a world of such awful hatred towards Gods creatures.

In the same respect, I'm happy to see all the wonderful people who had made this difficult time for this girl be brighter.

Re: Beheaded Dog's Killer Caught

I can already hear the conversation in the prison lunch line.

"So, what are YOU in for?"

"I chopped the head of a girl's dog and gift-wrapped it for her so she'd like me. Wanna be my friend?"

The scumbag might last 24 hours.

Re: Beheaded Dog's Killer Caught

That is horrible. I am glad though that poor Crystal has realized that there are some good people in the world.

I wonder what the laws are for killing a dog. I wonder if there is a chance he will not get anything more than community service. Really this guy is some kind of sick nut case. He should get put in some kind of mental home for life. I have a feeling he will be out because it was not a human he killed. I wont agree with that but that is what I think Creepy who knows where he will end up living.

You know you reach out to someone because you feel sorry for them like Crystal did and look what can happen.

Re: Beheaded Dog's Killer Caught

Regardless of the MN laws regarding killing a dog, I'll bet he'll do some prison time. The premeditated act targeted and terrorized a specific human being. It wasn't just some random, senseless barbarism.

I have a rusty old axe you can use but, only if I get to hold him down. It may take several whacks but, oh well.

I don't seem to be detecting a lot of sympathy for the accused.

Good luck putting together a sympathetic jury.

I've read that in some third world countries they chop off your hand(s) for stealing. Perhaps they would do this for such a heinous crime as this was. Yeah, that's the ticket.
