You've made a wonderful choice, and your concern is very natural, and human. What you're doing is adding to the quality of Lokum's life, and you should be proud for that. She will recover quickly, and possibly within hours looks as if nothing happened. But remember to take it slow...don't over feed her, or make her be too active. She'll need her rest even if hse doesn't show it. Make sure your vet gives you a checklist to follow for the next two weeks. Good luck to you both, you're doing a wonderful thing for her.

You're being a responsible and loving owner and my hat goes off to you! She'll be fine, a little sore for a day or so, but the benefits that last a lifetime will far outweigh any discomfort she'll have.

Re: I need your support :(

It's natural for us to worry about our pets during something like this, but to be honest, I think it takes more of a toll on us humans...LOL. The dogs seem to get over it in no time, and we worry constantly until we are sure they have. You are doing the best thing, and best wishes to Lokum on a speedy recovery. Hang in there, she'll be just fine.

You are a wonderful dog parent. Lokum will thank you in the future. You won't have to worry about cancer or any other "female" probs. You did a great thing!!!

Re: I need your support :(

She will be fine I am sure of it. I felt sad for my Chloe to when we got her spayed.....she threw up when we brought her home and she was sleepy for a few days. She healed like a charm and it healthy and none the worse for wear now. We will be getting Sadie spayed when she is a bit older (she is only about 19 or 20 weeks) and I will be worried to.
It is a very routine procedure and very safe so don't worry to much.....you are doing such a great thing for her health wise in the long run. You'll see.
