since it was just play and no aggression I wouldn't worry about it! Now if there was an out right fight it would be different!

As you probably know, puppy teeth are very sharp! And ears can bleed without much damage. As Mandy mentioned, if it was play and no aggression, I wouldn't worry too much. Two legged kids can hurt each other playing without meaning to.

I know you feel bad but try not to...easier said than done, right.

This happened at my puppy class too! Sam was playing with a lhaspo aps x bc/australian sheperd puppy whose got at least 10 lbs on him. After we leashed them up, we noticed tons of blood on Sam's face from a cut near his ear. I can tell you as the owner of the injured dog I didn't think it was a big deal. There was no aggresion at all between the two and no yowls of pain either so it clearly wasn't a big deal for the dogs either. You're definately not at fault (and neither is the trainer) since you were letting your puppy play in a controlled setting and with supervision so it's not carelessness or irresponsibility that led to the indicident. I would just supervise a little more carefully next time just in case their playing gets rough and enjoy the rest of your classes.
