| I've had about 11 dogs since I was little. Dixie, Freckles, Puddin', Junior, Bubba, Princess, Punkin', Bubba #2, Prince, Bear, and Sitka. Loved each and everyone of them. Sure miss the ones that I don't have anymore! |

| I have only had one dog. I don't know if I'd ever get another. I really love dogs, but it can get so expensive when they get sick. If I were to ever get another dog, I'd get a really nice dog like a Golden Retriever (I hear they are nice). I love my dog to pieces, but she's really mean and will bite anyone that tries to touch her other than the people she knows really well. |

| I have had many dogs over my lifetime. I have had 13 dogs, not including the two I have now. When I was little, we had a great dane, some mutts, three different GSD's, a St. Bernard, a sheepdog and a rotti (these were from the time I was born until I moved out at 18) - then on my own I've had a couple of mutts, a coyote and two newfoundlands. |

| I had one when I was growing up, and he lived to be 19 so it was like having an older brother. Unfortunately, I didn't get another until recently. 8 years ago I rescued one from an inattentive next door neighbor, and we had some very good years together.
I lost him April 7 this year to stomach cancer. Still heartbroken. Hoping to find a little healing on the forum. |

| Well, I am currently on my 6th dog right now.
Whirling, I heard about your dog in another post but never said it. Sorry about the loss of your dog. I know it's a really hard time right now. I think the saying is true, that you really don't know what you have until it's gone.
Three of the six dogs I have had passed away on me. And it never gets any easier. I wish you all the best.

| I have had so many over the years I lost count after about 20 {not all were permanent members{ I worked for a local Humane Society for Several years and fostered quite a bit of them.} I currently have five that are my own. |

| You're right .OEM's are Old English Mastiffs. Much easier than typing out the whole name everytime I'm learning all the time too, and there are things I see and I'm like WHAT??? |

| After reading Mastiffmom's post. it got me to thinking about all of the nicknames we have out there for the different breeds
So far, i have come up with
GSD German Shepherd Dog
Pom=Pomeranian
Newfy=Newfoundland
Of course, OEM as mentioned in a previous post.
OES Old English Sheepdog
Rottie=Rottweiler
ST.= Saint Bernard (my personal favorite!! )
anyone else?? |
