Dog Friendly Vacation. Where have you gone?

We just returned from Key West Florida. What a great place to take your dog on vacation.
We stayed at the Avalon Bed and Breakfast and Benni was treated great. The Avalon has 2 cats that Benni looked for every morning
By the end of the week everyone knew Benni. I meet so many dog friendly people just walking Benni.

Where have you gone with your puppy?

Right! And this was our first vacation in 7 yrs. So I totally understand. I just thought it would be a fun topic. And wanted to see if anyone else has had a great vacation with their dog.

I take my dogs to San Simeon near Hearst Castle they have quite a few dog friendly hotels and you can take your dog down to the beach. I've also taken them to Lake Tahoe, the public beaches aren't dog friendly but if you go to the other side of the bouyies on the private beach you can take your dogs. They also have a Hotel thier that has sepectacular veiws of the lake, funny enough you only get those rooms if you request them or if you have a pet since it's a seperate building from the main hotel. There's also a book on all the things that you can do with your dog in California.
