Eating slugs?

Our puppy is occasionally getting a slug in her mouth, it's dark in the evening, and I can't always keep them away. We don't want to use slug bait for the obvious reaons, thinking about hiding beer cans though. Is eating a slug bad for her?

As long as there is no pesticides or chemicals present they are just added protein.

Just make sure you are not spraying your yard for bugs or fertilizing.

Re: Eating slugs?

We don't spray or use anything to kill them, just let them be. In fact, I have seen them frequently eating our puppy's poo at night ... (I clean it up every morning, as it's also hard to see in the dark). They bother some of our plants, but between healthy plants and a healthy puppy, my choice is quickly made!!
