Ok So yall know that when the Pit Bull Positivity Thread hits a hundred positive bully posts..a generous individual will send a one hundred dollar check to a rescue or org.
So you guys need to tell that person where to send the check!
Rules: Anyone can nominate a recipient organization. Only specification as far as who you nominate is that they must verifiably have NO bully specific discriminatory practices.
Those who posted on The PBP Thread will be asked to vote via pm after one week after the PBP Thread hits the magic number.
I nominate the Orange County Animal Protection Society in North Carolina. I volunteer there sometimes. They are very pitbull friendly and even incorporate pitbull advocacy in some of their events. For example they are having a Howl-O-Ween event Oct. 25th commemorating Pit Bull Awareness Day. In addition they are not government or state supported so they desperately need donations. They are a really deserving organization and do a great job. They have created a lot of great bully ambassadogs by providing some training to dogs who end up hanging out awhile at the shelter (they are limited kill). Anyway, so I nominate them. You can visit their website at www.animalprotectionsociety.org.
I'll go ahead and nominate Bad Rap. As far as bully specific rescues go, they are one of the best. Very very good about background checks, offer training classes, etc. Not to mention the fact that they were among the groups fighting tooth and nail to save the Vick dogs. If I lived in the area I would love to volunteer with them.

I nominate A rotta love. They are a bully rescue group operating in Minnesota, doing a TON of bully positivity all over the place. They are the organization that helped me work out the issues with the pit stray I found in my area. Truly amazing organization.
