Keep them busy games

I wanted to get some more ideas for ways of keeping your dog busy when you are not around - or when you are busy with something else.

My best one so far is to put a food ball inside a wooden box or big plastic bowl. The dog paws and knocks the food ball around inside the box, bits of food fall out and it makes a satisfying noise. Better than just the foodball by itself, which gets stuck under things. Also contains the food.

I'm sure this would also work with a plastic bottle with food in it in stead of a food ball.

That's a great idea, to corral the food ball in a box! They love the food ball, but since we have three dogs, it's inevitable that they end up rolling into another dog's space, and then a snarling match starts up!

We get some good milage out of stuffed kongs or bones, or those rawhide chewies that are supposed to help clean their teeth.

I'd love to hear other people's clever ideas!
