Honestly winter is not that bad for dogs, In Montreal where we got about 400 cm of snow last winter I did not see many dogs with coats but many playing in the snow
Maybe feeding richer food would help to adapt to winter.
We generally don't give enough credit to dogs about their adaptation skills ! Akira moved a couple of times in his short life with other animals, with/out yard ... He adapted more quickly than me to all those living situations
Take your dog with you or I think you'll regret it and you dog will miss you dearly !
Should be rather exciting. I'm relieved he's coming w/ me and am looking forward to all the adventures we're going to have in our first winter! lol
