I don't know if many of you give your dog peanut butter but I give my girl some peanut butter in a kong and she just loves it! The funny thing I have noticed with her and many other dog owners is whenever a dog eats peanut butter they will lick thier front two legs. Mine licks her EVERYTIME! Can know exactly why they do this? Our thought in it was it helps it not be so sticky. I would love to hear everyones thoughts and if other's do this also...... Thanks!
Mine do this with their Kongs, because often, it can come out the end and get on their paws, so they lick it off. Also, dogs often lick themselves after eating as a sort of grooming instinct. >^^;<
Chloe is just now really starting to like her Kong and really chew it like she's supposed to. I guess that's because she should be teething about now (almost 4 months). She loves peanut butter in there too. Makes me think of the Got Milk commercial.
I'm new to this forum and don't have a dog yet so bear with me when I ask this: what the heck is a kong ?? I've seen many posts about it but I am so lost. I am very much a newbie!!! lol
A Kong is a super durable rubber chew toy that you stuff with your dog’s favorite dog treats. Some stuffed Kong dog chew toys will provide hours of stimulating chewing fun for your dog.
I got my 3 dogs each a Kong ball for Christmas. They love them! They work for hours to roll it around and try to get the treats out and they also love the peanut butter we put in them. I put them in their crates with them to give them something to do.
