I really love this breed but have never had any experiences with it.
Does anyone own one and can shed some insight on the breed?
As I mentioned previously, my dear baby died two days ago. I'm not looking to replace him since no one ever could but I feel so lonely without a dog (I've never lived without one!) So Im looking to get a different breed of dog from my dear Timbit.

Anyone?

You should go to some dog shows in your area. You can meet breeders, some involved in rescue. Here you can search for a dog show in your area: http://www.akc.org/events/search/

I spent 14 years campaigning them in AKC and American Field, field trials and own a GWP now. Here are some pictures from 30 years ago. All field champions Except Vanna our GWP we have now. I started in Weimeraners and absolutely love the German bird dogs. Actually looking at my Avatar you can see I like all the German breeds.
