| Opinions Please ok, as it sits right now i have one baby left from this litter that i would like to find her own people for (this is not a dire emergency, she's here till the right one comes along)....this is my little Meghan and i have not really tried hard to place her as i have wanted to see how she was going to develop as she grew....she is doing great (especially since i have started chiro treatments w/ her) and i feel she would do even better in a more 1 on 1 home......all the other babies were either 1) placed w/ friends that i have known awhile 2) i kept or 3) by word of mouth by people i know .....
i would like to "expand" Meghan's "availabiliy" from more than just that and have had many people recommend Petfinder.....i really hesitate to do so as i just don't feel it is altogether a "good" place.....i'm just not sure about the people that are there.....of course, no matter what, i screen all prospective people for any pup and have an app. specifically for Meghan, but still.....
what do you guys feel about Petfinder? good place or no? |

| Re: Opinions Please As long as you're able to interview the people in person, I don't see a problem with Petfinder. |

| Re: Opinions Please What about talking with your local BC rescue group/s? They pre-screen and so do you, and so in that way you might be finding a less impulsive buyer? I'm not sure they would work with this since it's not a rescue, but perhaps they would do a sort of courtesy post or something... |

| Re: Opinions Please i thought on that one as well, FoZ, and even contacted 2 of them.....no response back from either one....anything would definitely be double, tripled and quadruple checked and then checked on from there.... |

| Re: Opinions Please You could post on petfinder, craigslist, and the classifieds of the news paper. Just include that you screen anyone interested. |

| Re: Opinions Please I don't think petfinder is appropriate. She's NOT a rescue. You bred her. Ditto with Craigslist.
I would put word out through your other puppy buyers, friends in the breed, fellow classmates at any performance venues, etc. |

| Re: Opinions Please thanx, guys....i don't think i'll put her on there.....Dogstar, i know that she is not a rescue, but i have seen dogs on there that were not rescues b/4.....not often but they have been there.....i just don't know about the people that go looking there, for the most part.....
but like i said, i have no problem w/ her being here forever....i just don't feel that i can give her the full attention that she needs to be whatever she can be and i feel bad that she doesn't get to be w/ me all the time like the goosing dogs.....i love her tons, tho, and i'll just keep working w/ her and giving her all that i can..... |
