hey sheltiemom...we shoulda met up w/ each other when i was down in GA 2 wks ago.....we coulda had fun w/ our gangs......

Meghan is definintely a little tiger, there's no doubt....she takes nothing off the dogs but she is such a sweetheart.....loves to cuddle.....and Huck is sooooo much like his daddy.....Tim is Tir all over again, especially attitude ("you want me to do what? and when did you say?").....Titch is so much my pup it's almost scary.....

on the 8th of June all of them are going for instinct testing and trainability.....and then Jigs (Nick) goes for his in July.....we'll see how many of them have the instrinct and drive for it.....when they're out playing w/ each other, they all show it to some degree or another, but sheep will be a different matter.....

had "Mr. Moo" worried the other day....he didn't think it was time to leave the dog (club) park and wouldn't come so i got in the van and backed it all the way around the front of the building....then i got out and waited to see what he would do......well, w/in about 3 min he was trying to figure out how to get out of the gate or over the fence or something (he was quite worried).....i then took a leash and walked back down, not saying a word the whole time....when i got to the gates and went in he didn't know if he should wiggle w/ joy or wiggle up for forgiveness.....but when i said "are you coming?" he got to and sat on my feet so fast.....and the next day when i got all the others in the van and went to get him he couldn't get out that gate fast enuff.....

Durbkat, i have them in the kitchen to play so that they don't demolish the house......Meghan and Timmy are crated but let out to romp and stomp about every 2 hrs for about 1/2 hr and taken to the DP for anywhere's from 1-3 hrs (depending on how much time i have to kill.....Meghan and Tim are mostly housebroke but still don't always ask to go out when loose (about 90% there)......thus the crating/kitchen......

ACampbell, as near as i can tell at this time, and being able to watch Meggie grow/develop, i'm believing that she has more of a "misfiring" or "disconnection" in the brain rather than a major hearing loss.....i can speak to her in normal tones and as long as she is focused she does everything asked (that she knows).....if her mind is elsewhere, she doesn't seem to hear.....and it's not the normal puppy "i hear but i choose to not acknowledge" type of thing.....i wish there was some way to measure her hearing but the BAER only tells if they can hear or not, not to what degree.....i think once that "barrier" is broken w/ constant/consistant work, we'll see a whole different dog come out......does that all make sense?

Tirluc The gang looks great. I can't believe how much like dogs they look. LOL I mean as opposed to puppies. Meghan is awesome. "Kick their butts girl". Looks like they really enjoy being with each other. I can't wait to hear how the instinct tests go. Good Luck with them.

Well thank God she didn't turn out to be deaf! I'm sure you told everyone what was going on awhile back but with me being gone I must have missed it.
Maybe it's something like what I have, my hearing comes and goes, it's genetic as far as we can tell (my mother, grandmother, etc all have this) I can pass a hearing test with flying colors...but if someone is talking to me and I don't know it, half the time they get upset because they think I'm ignoring them

oh, and ChrissyBz, yes that is Zaida......she and Titch have the same head type, Huck and Jigs (aka Nick) have the same type and Willow and Tim are very similar.....Meghan has a head all her own (but closest to Willow/Tim) the just looks like a little angel (even when she acts like the devil)
