| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Yeah that is exactly why I called the police to see what i can do. She is still here, she sat on my floor and was obnoxious all night. I woke her up at 6:45 this morning told her I have things to do today and she is NOT staying in the house. End of story.
I ended up sleeping with Smokey and Lily on my bed...I had a miserable night (they are both bed hogs) so I'm more pissed off than I was yesterday that there is a squatter in my home that just won't leave!
Jeez, don't people realize when they are not welcome anymore?! |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Your husband is military right? He should have lots of brawny soldier friends. Can't a few of his buddies come by and "evict" her. Pick her up, carry her outside, then you throw her stuff out the window....
Is she crazy? YOu could have her baker acted?? |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Lol, yes my hubby is a soldier...he could have physically removed her if he wanted to (hell he can pick me up with 1 arm so bouncing her off the sidewalk wouldn't have been a chore)
But then comes all the lovely assault charges, etc, etc.
I called the bus line this morning and offered to buy her a ticket the hell away from me...she took a 30 minute drive to another town to the homeless shelter in lieu of me sending her back to Utah. I think I got my point across when I roused her at 06:45 and told her she had to find somewhere to go cuz i had things to do today. Problem solved, crazy lady is gone.
Sparky went to the SPCA (no kill, etc) on a 10 day hold to see if they could adopt him out. If they can't I have to go and retrieve him. Hopefully by then one of the basset rescues will be able to help...they really didn't seem that helpful or friendly even when I told them how he came to stay with me etc...and that I wasn't a dog hating jerk...but I still got that elitist attitude from them. Whatever. |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( No, I live off base since we moved (I lived on base in Arizona) - I'm still #115 on the waiting list for government quarters and estimated time left on list is 480 days...
I wouldn't have had an issue had I lived on post, the MP's would have removed her immediately because she is not a dependant...not as such is civilian police.
But on the good note I did get rid of her and all her stuff is out of my house...so if she comes back I'm not letting her in...you keep on knocking but you can't get in! |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Oh man, that is one sick human being. I am glad your puppy seems OK. I can't wait to see pictures of her. Meanwhile, I hope rehoming Sparky pans out... |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Well I have 10 days for them to return him if he can't be rehomed. They weren't going to take him because of his age until the older lady noticed he's been neutered and has a microchip...then she kind of threatened me which was spooky...
She told me if they called me I had 12 hours to come pick him up, I said "ok not a problem" and she goes "We have copies of your ID and we will hunt you down if you don't"
WTF!? Is that standard procedure? |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( To be frank, this entire situation sounds sketchy and I imagine the shelter workers aren't too impressed with you at this point.
Relax. Let the process work itself out. |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Well thank God I'm not looking for their approval.
I just didn't appreciate being threatened, especially when I chose to go to them rather than the kill shelter up the road...oh well, I've had enough of crazy people in the last 2 days to fulfill my needs for the rest of my life. |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( With the ID thing, they probably get people who say they will get the dog in 10 days but never come back. Seems reasonable (maybe she said it too harshly though) |

| Re: She threw my puppy! :-( Well, fortunately for them, they also have my military ID and since I signed a legal document, they have legal recourse. It is stated as such that they will charge me $15 per day that I do not retrieve him after the 10 days or within 12 hours of a phone call from them...also that I can be legally charged with abandonment. With my military ID here's the other thing, they can talk to my husband command and he can be in a world of hurt...meaning they'll take away pay etc...so yeah, she didn't have to be as harsh...my husband career in the military isn't worth it LOL...
Just creeped me out..."we'll hunt you down" - remind me to lock my doors and windows! LOL |
