OMGosh. That is so sad. Your poor puppy. I sure hope she leaves soon so that the puppy doesnt get hurt again. Good luck with that. By the way, great choice you made for a name for your puppy

I do not understand why you refered to her as your room mate. Room mates usually share 50/50 of all the bills. She sounds more like a freddy the free loader. Any ways why would she be upset with "YOUR" dog going on "YOUR", furniture? Something does not make sense here?

That's terrible I would have tossed the witch out the nearest window if she had done that to my dogs.

I hope you can get everything squared away. 7 Months Pregnant is so not a time for drama lol. Good luck!

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

Lol, I tried to be nice...or she would have been out the picture window in 2.3 seconds.
She's leaving tonight...Thank God and greyhound or whatever it is she's going.
Long story short is that she didn't have anywhere else to go and has a nutsoid ex hubby...I sympathized because I, too, have a psycho ex-hubby...seems like more of it was on her than I was told though and maybe HE wasn't hte psycho...but all the same I felt bad (it's like taking in a stray is how the cop said to me and having it bite my hand) so I let her come up and stay with me trying to be helpful.

Well, I quit, I'm not going to be nice anymore LOL

I am all for helping friends out, but never ever ever by letting them stay in my house for any extended time period w/o handing over $$ for rent etc. someone who doesn't have it together enought to get their OWN place is usually trouble.
Cant say that- I have helped out people and been burned, but never had anyone hurt any of my kidsor anything like that. My daughter is staying with friends right now until she can find a place of her own, but I have heard nothing but praises. It can go either way- trust your instincts or gut feeling- this woman has to go though- no one would even dream of doing anything like throwing a puppy here- I'd have a temporary moment of insanity and whoever it where, would RUN to the police for protection

Anyone who threw out a puppy like that needs to put in the JAIL! I have no tolerant for anyone harming puppies like that. Kick her out and call the police! I would take the puppy to the vet to make sure she is ok.

She is not your friend and kick her out of your roof! Friends don't throw a puppy like that. Your puppy deserves better treatment. It will be my FINAL straw.

Just be sure your boots are clean so you don't leave a visible print on her butt as she exits your home. B...tch!

How is puppy?

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

Holy Cow sounds like you are undergoing a fair bit of stress lately ACampbell. Hopefully things calm down now that she is leaving. I hope your puppy is fine and that we get to see pictures soon. I am also glad that you are sending Sparky off to rescue instead of with a crazy, mean lady. Hope all goes well for him as well.

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

Yeah thats my thought also...hubby got home. Took one look at the crazy person sitting on my living room floor, made a rude comment like "wtf are you still doing here" and went upstairs. He is one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet but he is mad as hell... and here's to her thinking he'd take her side...lmfao

I gotta upload puppy pics tonight (and find my other camera) but I'll get them up here tonight!

Yeah I feel better sending him to a rescue than with her...then again I can't really stop her if she decides to take him with so...we'll see what happens tomorrow. I did email a couple of rescues in the area to take the knothead.

I never changed the microchip he has (because she used to live half a block from me and I never got around t odoing it) so technically she could prove he's hers and she can take him.

Does she know this? Maybe you could bluff it? I'd do whatever I could to keep her from taking him. She's a loose cannon.

I really don't think she'll take him, and no she's not aware I never changed it (I don't think)...I feel bad that Sparky is going to have to go to a rescue but in the 3 weeks she's been here she did nothing but spoil him and it was completely start over with everything...so I give up.

I hope she's not aware you never changed it...

It's hard, but sometimes we just have to do what we have to do. You're stressed and no doubt he's stressed by your stress... it's best for everyone that he go to a rescue.

Hope this whacko leaves tonite as planned.

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

I have come back to this thread several times.. even posted then deleted it - but I am back again. I am sorry- whatever it took I would throw her out.. This coming from a woman that threw my step daughter out of the house for mocking how my beloved hottie got up and down. If someone had hurt him, they would be out ON THEIR EAR so fast it make their head spin.. Since she doesnt have a key I am also assuming she is not on " the lease' etc.. End of story- get out.. And call the police and make a cruelity to animals charge to back it up..
I did not read half the updates and posts because the more I read, the madder I got..

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

That's just horrible! I know what she did was horrible but at least you know that will abuse dogs so now you know not to give her sparky.

There are squatter's rights, so depending on the state and the rules within that jurisdiction, the OP may not have a choice unless the woman freely leaves.

Regardless, best of luck.

They should be able to do something!!!

It'd be different if she were paying rent (even if not on the lease). Then you'd have to start eviction proceedings.

What a miserable b****.

Whether or not someone is on the lease or paying rent, there's a legal process you have to go through to evict someone living in your home. The police cannot do anything, unless the unwanted person was violent toward the human, in which case they could arrest (BUT, only if the victim has visible marks). An Injunction For Protection could also be used to get exclusive use of the residence, in which case the unwanted person would be removed by law enforcement (BUT, only if there was physical violence, or a threat of physical violence).

Re: She threw my puppy! :-(

If she doesn't have a key, when she goes out put her stuff on the porch or front yard and don't let her back in. What proof does she have that she lived there? Heck, even the homeless missions have to meet requirements and responcibilities to stay or they are out on their butts.
I understand if a person has no place to go at the moment you want them out the police will tell you that unless there is evidence of abuse, they cannot throw the person out. You would have to leave for your safety. Then later you can get them out legally. It does seem strange that you would have to leave your apartment but the police often have their hands tied in situations like this.
