Talking Very weird question

OKay, I have watched my 6 month old papillon force her butt in my cats faces now since I have had her at 8 weeks of age & have now gotten curious about it. They are definitely playing and wrestling when it happens. She makes a point of doing it, even walks backwards into them so they cannot help but plant their face in it.

Why does she do this? Just curious b/c she is so funny when she does it & my cats look at her as if to say "enough already with the butt..."

I have NO clue - you have a weird dog

I know scent glands are located there on both cats/dogs, but to do it delibertly all the time is another thing.

No, you don't have a weird dog.

That's how dogs communicate with other dogs, and other species.

My dog does that to other dogs, and that's like a friendly "hello"

You know how dogs smell eachothers butts? It's the same thing with cats. You dog is obviously very friendly, and just want to communicate with your kjitties

Mine does that to my cat too! SHe's too cute.

LOL. It reminds me of the Stuart Little movie that came out a few years ago with the white cat. There was a line when he turns around and says "talk to the butt".
