Calling all yorkie owners past and present!! =)

Hi, I recently adopted a Yorkshire Terrier,He is now 15 weeks and His name is Pierre! He weighs 1 pound 4 oz (according to his las check-up a few weeks ago). The vet thinks he won't get to be more than 4-5 pounds. Don't let his size fool you though he's a tough little guy!

I just wanted to know how big your yorkie was when you got him/her and how big they are now..

If there are a lot of yorkie owners here this could be a thread for Yorkie owners to share stories photos etc.. so we'll see how this goes...

Here's a pic. of Pierre to get things started... http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/j...t=IMG_3807.jpg

Re: Calling all yorkie owners past and present!! =)

My family got a Yorkie a few years ago, I don't live with them anymore so I don't get to see the little guy, Harley, very often. When he came home with us he was 8 or 10 weeks I think, about 1 pound. Now he's 4 and a 1/2 and is about 9 pounds. I really love yorkies, such fun little dogs. My mom took a lot of time to train Harley very well. He's goes potty in a cardboard box inside which a lot of people find to be really funny. But, where my parents live there are lots of birds of prey outside, so we never took any chances. He's extremely jealous when his people touch other dogs. He never bites or anything, just growls and whines. I'll have to find a picture of him to put up! BTW yours is super cute!

Oh thanks!! Harley sounds like a wonderful dog! I'm in the process of training Pierre, it's quite easy, he's so smart!!
