| I think someone snuck a Dane puppy in a litter of labs I really need to upload some pics of Bo and share them with you guys. I swear, now as he is growing he is almost starting to look nothing like a lab. In fact, if I Google Great Dane puppies, a whole bunch of pictures that look like Bo pop up His littermates looked like purebred labs, btw! |

Even in breeding for akc dogs, sometimes they "duel sire" the litter, then at 6-8 weeks old the pups are dna'd to determine which sire is the father of that pup, and registered as such.. |

I said it could have happened but I don't know. Black Dane pups can often be mistaken for black labs by some people, then as they grow they look more danish. If they are mix I'm sure it could go either way. Perhaps even some of the others which look pure lab could even be mixed. I don't know anything about cats but I don't see why not. It works the same way. Sperm goes in and fertilizes the egg. Of course you want to breed to your main stud first being that the sperm which are there first will try to fight the other sperm off. So less might be sired by the 2nd stud. I've known more then a few people with dual sired litters. I think its a great idea because you can get more different offspring from the bitch without having as many litters. 4 sires from 2 litters. That is wonderful. It is easier on her. |

| Re: I think someone snuck a Dane puppy in a litter of labs Would you mind if I showed these pics to a friend of mine? They have a dane/lab that is black and maybe they'd have an idea comparing yours to theirs from puppyhood. I haven't seen much of her but I do kind of see a similar face from what I recall and the big feet. |
