Have you ever tried introducing your dog to a hyperactive terrier before? Being a Springer, I doubt the hyperactivity of a terrier would bother it much. Do some research on the Bull Terrier temperament. I've known and know quite a few and they are all great with other dogs. One of them shares it's home with two other dogs or unknown breeds. I'm sure with the right introduction, training, and socialization, it would be a fine match.

Just a word of caution. The Bully breeds are great dogs, but they do have a tendency to become dog aggressive as they get older. Some never do, but many do and it often occurs either during the adolescent period or even later, sometimes when the dog is as much as 4 years of age.

This isn't to say not to get one, just to be on your toes and never 100% trust your Bully (if you get one) with other dogs including ones, such as your Springer, s/he's known since puppyhood. Be sure you get one whe's the opposite sex from your Springer and that you have it syaed/neutered as early as your vet recommends.
