I have a pom-chi doggie. just under a year old.
He was potty trained (well enuf to stay in the house all day w/ rare to no accidents...which were never peeing.)...Anywho, he started spraying everywhere so we got him fixed...and starting yesterday (9 days after his surgery) he's peeing on our bed!! but no where else.

I have heard that you have to re-train them for about a month or so after the surgery. but he is doing this in such an odd manner. he is laying down on the bed and just peeing as he lays...peeing on himself as well and standing up to walk away either still peeing or dripping for a few steps...almost like he doesn't know he is doin it.

Has anyone ever been thru this?? could it be some kind of bladder infection???...My dog has never just PEED, while we were there. even if he was being trained he knew enuf to try to hide it....HELP???

You need to phone your vet. Its not usual for a dog to be laying down and peeing, nor peeing while just walking, it sounds like he is dribbling? He may have a bladder infection or a sphincture problem. Best to get it checked out.

Thanks. I did finally get ahold of my vet. & he said that he thought it may be trauma from his surgery (got him clipped)...they JUST took the stitches out. He said to watch him & basically go back to the training methods I used before the surgery for a while...thank you Soo much for your reply.!!
