Hey there to all forum users: We just lost are male briard in April, 2006. He had a fetish for socks and underwears. He would bite us if we attempted to take them away as he quickly swallowed them down his throat. We barracated the areas where socks and underwears were, but he somehow got to them eventually.

Now he is dead, intestinal failure. We want another briard (male) for our 18 and 21 year old girls. My husband is in need of excercise following a colon cancer operation this Saturday (5/27/2006). A briard is a great reason for him to excercise because he would have to walk the dog (with my help of course).

Whoever out there has a briard (male) or knows of anyone trying to give their briard away for one reason or another, please let us know.

I would contact your local Briard Club. Most breed clubs maintain ties with that breeds rescue organizations.

I'm really sorry about your first Briard. Hopefully you will have better luck with this one. But, yeah I would just look on the internet for a breeder or even your classifieds.
