Unhappy Post-Neuter Woes

Well, after much preparation, driving through a snowstorm, denting my car , and staying the night with my friend and her yappy sheltie, I finally took Shippo in for his neuter yesterday. He's 9 months old.

I had to drive back to Denver area where I live (this place was in Colorado Springs), which was fun... I hate long highway driving.

Shippo's in an e-collar which is a pain in the butt because he keeps bumping into things. I put him in Eevee's bigger crate last night because he wouldn't fit in his own. I slept on the couch in worry. I'm overnighting a BiteNot collar in the hopes that it will allow him to be more mobile. He tries to get at his stitches so he has to wear something for at least 7 days lol...

On top of this, he's got pink-eye! God only knows where he got that from... the vets say it could've been any other dog. So now I get to squirt goop in his eye 2-3 times a day. Fun all around...

He drank way too much water this morning and then vomitted it all over the floor. Looks like I'll only be able to let him drink a little at a time for now. He doesn't want to eat his kibble, but I managed to get a spoonful of pumpkin down.

It's going to be a long 7 days... >X.x;<

Well, at least he didn't pee in your arms like Elsa did when I brought her home. Poor guy...Elsa and I wish you both a speedy recovery.

Don't worry. It will get better fast. We had brady nuetered, dew clwas removed and micro chiped all at the same time. The first day home he seemed pathetic. Within a few days he was going strong and it was harder to keep him calm enough so he didn't pull his stiches. It is amazing how quick the get back on their feet. Good luck.
