Hi my name is shawana and i am a knew comer to this site. Any one that has a maltese please tell me how to treat them. I have been reading about them, but i want to hear from someone who actually deal with that breed on a day to day basis.I wpould like to know everything you have time to tell me about.

I have a friend with a Maltese. She usually keeps her hair cut shorter in order to have a "cleaner" dog since she runs with 4 labs all day long (both inside and outside of the house).

Other than that, I can't think of any other "special" care the dog really needs.

Many pet owners keep their Maltese in a puppy cut (much shorter then the show cut). Maltese are great little dogs. Just be sure to feed her a high quality food, and see the vet regularly for check ups. This is true of any dog! Congrats on your new addition
