Howdy,

We did a bit of reserch today and Gate became a leagal service dog. We went into our first busness today......lol, a loud crazy casino. He did wonderfull, a real pro. But the point is this, One can train there own service dog. If anyone is interested, just do a serch under service dog laws and its everywhere. Life is good again

Congrats. Im sure you are very proud of Gate. If you dont mind me asking, what type of service does Gate provide you? I would really like my Great Dane to be a therapy dog. We are going for his CGC soon

Service dogs can provide many services, but they need only supply one service to be classified ( by law ) a service animal. Dogs are not the only animals that can be taught to help people. Example: A perrott might be taught to retrieve an item, such as a cell phone or medicine. A service dog can provide its companion a focal point for certain mental disabilities too. There is an extensive range of info on the net about laws and definitions and training, I would suggest researching it for a miniut. I don't mean to imply that you dont already know this, but it will save me time if you do not and it may help someone else too. To answer your question directley, He is a stability dog, helps me if I fall.
