| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? Priss' favorite toys are the used ones from yard sales or thrift stores. She spends forever sniffing it allllllll over before settling down to rip the ears and nose off.
Pedro doesn't much care but seems to prefer the harder toys right now. Actually the one he plays with the most is a plastic hangar that he snagged right after I brought him home. I think he only likes it because he's figured out how to smack me in the shins with it LOL! |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? My GSD absolutely obsessive's over his kong and sometimes his rope toys. ("obsessive's" is a major understatement here) My pit bull/gsd mix doesn't like toys except an occasional rope for a few minutes. My Border Collie/Golden mix loves anything he can tear to tiny little pieces. My Cattle Dog loves to play but isn't real big into toys unless the BC/Golden is playing with something. Then she'll join in.
I was once playing with a rope w/my GSD and hid it from him. He was running around like crazy trying to find it. Well, my hair is long and I usually keep it in a braid with a scrunchie at the end. Evidently to him it looked like the rope with the knot at the end and he grabbed my braid thinking that was it. Well, he let go almost immediately realizing his mistake. But not before teaching me a lesson on hiding toys from him. lol

My parent's dog is ball-obsessed (tennis ball). Not other toy even makes it onto his radar.
Last fall I was washing my car while home over the weekend, and he kept trying to give me his smarmy tennis ball to throw, and getting the slime on my car in the process, so I grabbed it and stuck it in the tree next to the driveway to give me some peace, then promptly forgot about it.
Three hours later I glanced outside and he was still sitting by the tree, staring fixedly at the ball and waiting for it to fall. I felt so bad I ran out there and played ball with him for an hour lol. I wish I had that focus. |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? Charlie loves empty soda bottles, plastic clothes hangers (we watch him closely and he rarely gets these because he tends to get it stuck around his neck), and whiffle balls (he actually prefers these neon yellow plastic softball practice balls we found in the attic - like a whiffle ball but bigger and thicker plastic).
He is so funny with the balls, we will bounce them and he'll jump all around, then grab them and lay down, then push it to you like he's playing catch but rolling it, so we just lay on the ground rolling it back and forth. |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? Brandy's favourite toy is a little pink plushie squeeky dog toy. Its really cute because she watches out the window at people walking by or if she is waiting for us to come home and its always with her =]
Once, when we first got her, we gave her the toy and she was playing with it. Then this video case blew as if the wind touched it but our windows were closed and Brandy was barking at nothing and took her toy away. We think it might have been our old dog who sadly passed away |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? I got my dog a dog puppet so that we (mostly my SO though) could wrestle with him with it. He absolutely loves it. He sleeps with it, carries it around the house (it's as big as him), and brings it to us and drops it on our lap constantly. The poor puppet has had his tail, ears, bandana, nose, and tongue chewed off though, so he kind of looks like a cow puppet now.
His other favorite toy is a bone shaped squeaker I made him. It's the only one he hasn't been able to destroy yet! I made it before Christmas so I think that's a new record lol... |

Outdoors she settles for the little squeaker tennis balls, about the same size as a ping pong ball. |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? Chloe loves her stuffed hedgehog "grunty" toy. It doesn't squeak, it grunts. She also likes her kong, but only if it is stuffed. She also likes any type of plush toy that has an annoying squeaker in it.
Rose and Blackie don't particularly play with toys (they don't retrieve and Rose's version of tug is "I grab the toy and then mommy pulls so I let go"), but Rose LOVES rawhide bones. She'll take it and bury it in our field and then three months later go unearth a very dirty, soggy, disgusting bone.
Blackie prefers beef bones, but when he was a puppy he loved frisbees and baseballs. |

and his deer antler.
Eddie doesn't get to play with actual toys very often because he obsesses over them. He has anxiety issues. Mostly he plays with a Frisbee with us in the yard or bones he can bury. |

| Re: What is your dog(s) favorite toy? Ted goes between a few, but paper towel rolls are always a favorite. He rips them to shreds (doesn't eat anything) and leaves me the mess to clean up. But when it keeps him busy for 30 minutes to an hour I could couldn't care less about the mess. He also loves his mini lufa dog and Ms. M&M
Buster loves his pig skin toy..it's a stuffed animal only it has nothing in it. It was his very first toy when we brought him home and he slept with it every night. He also loves tennis balls, but he's squished every single one.
Duncan and Mahalo love their nylabones. |
