Hi Guys!

I got a yorkie about a month ago (shes almost 5 months old)...LOVE her 2 death...i treat her like she is my daughter. I'm an 18 year old male..some ppl think its weird...but o well, lol. She is kinda spoiled...but not 2 the point where I just let her do whatever she wants.

I've always wanted a yorkie (got it) and a standard poodle...
I stumbled upon this lady who wants 2 sell her 8 year old standard poodle bcause she baught him for breeding and the girl shes trying 2 breed him with doesnt want him, lol...so shes selling him. She said he'd be fine with my york because she has yorkies, so he's used 2 them...

but heres my question....
when im @ work (which is for like 8 hours, twice a week) my gma watches my yorkie. she said she would never watch a big dog...do u guys have ne tips on what 2 do with my poodle? Do they make huge kennels 2 put him in...or how much r those big fency things, lol.

Do u think it's 2 much of a hassle 2 have a big dog like that....

Well let me know PLEASE! I just really wanna know about the what 2 do when im gone with him situation!

Thanks Dudes & Girls!

Crates come in all sizes but I'm not sure about leaving a dog crated for 8hrs at a time. Maybe you could just confine him to one room while you're gone or take him to daycare since it's only twice per week.

Yes, they make crates for large dogs (even giant dogs, I have a crate for my Great Dane). I recommend hiring a dog walker or taking your poodle to doggy day care a few times a week. Standard Poodles need a bit of exercise do this would be a good release. If this dog is well behaved, maybe he could have free run of your house while your gone, a dog walker could come at lunch time (or you if you have time). Provide toys, treats, and water throughout the day
