Help please - first morning with 8 week old

Today is day 1 with new puppy Rottweiler - she slept fine but this morning she is crying at the front door - i have left her out many times and she runs to the grass and lays down - each time i bring her back in she sits and cries at the door. What could she want? As soon as she gets near the front door she starts crying and howling.

IS this the first time she has been seperated from her litter, or from other animals she is familiar with? The new routine, change of all things familiar and so on can really be rough on a new pup.

Do you have any toys to help occupy her time, and gain her attention? A kongis always my first recommendation, as my dogs have always had a blast with them.

The first day with a new puppy is always the hardest. She has no idea where she is, is missing her mommy, her sisters and brothers and everything is different. I agree with Jessica&Crew, try to get her attention--lots of petting and love and she will adjust in time. She's just nervous.
