I was on my way tot ake Roady to the park, and I had him in the back of the jeep. He does get car sick, so when he started to act like he was going to throw up, I stopped the jeep, and opened the back to let him out so he could puke outside. Before I could get the leash on him, he took off. I have tried to find him, looked everywhere within a 20mile raduis of where he ran from, stopped at peoples houses, and no one knows anything. I was worried at first, but he is a pretty dog, and I like to think someone has got him and is feeding him. He did have his collar on, so im going to look in the papaers and such and see if anyone puts an ad saying they have found him. I highly doubt it though with him being a GSD. I will keep trying to find him, but if not, I hope he is being taken care of.

I'm sorry to hear this. I would also contact your local shelters in case he was turned in or picked up, if you haven't done so already. Are you going to put up flyers too? I hope he turns up. Keep us posted.

I lost my pug once when I was in the middle of moving. He had escaped from the back yard where I had placed him to keep him out of the way. I absolutely flooded the neighborhood with fliers and luckily someone contacted me. I was terrified because he had slipped his collar on top of everything else and had no identifying tags! I hope you find your dog soon.

Sorry to hear about your shepherd running off. Contact all the shelters and rescues and vet clinics with in your area. Make posters offering a reward but do not state how much the reward is. There is a yahoo group called Stolen_Lost_Found_Pets : Stolen_Lost_Found_Pets

You probably can join it and post about your shepherd on there.

I am so sorry to hear about losing your dog. Mine got out of her fenced yard and I was going crazy. I called all humane societies in the area, friends, and the police department. The police department were the ones who eventually got her and thank God I got her back. If you haven't tried the local police, it's a great place to check and good luck! Let us know what happens.

Have you thought about taking out an ad in the paper as well as checking vets and shelters in the area and putting out lost flyers?
