he's still doing it.

My mom's chihuahua puppy was neutered a few weeks ago, but he still humps my dog. I thought that would go away after he was neutered like it did my friends pitbull.

I'm just so confused. Could it be a dominant thing? I tell him no and pull him off my dog when he does this, but it keeps happening. What else should I be doing?

Thanks a bunch!!

How old is he?

If he is older, he might have a memory of doing it or a habit.

Re: he's still doing it.

Neutering doesn't generally change behavior. That takes training.

Our female Siberian foster dog humps our female Golden quite often. We correct her every time we see her doing it but honestly I think she is just gender confused. LOL We also had a foster Jack Russel female who would hump our very old male Siberian.

I have heard that it takes a while for the change in hormones to kick in. My sister's male Lhasa took 6 weeks before he stopped "humping"
