A relative of mine is a professional dog trainer. She has agreed to watch my 2 puppies when I go on vacation for a week. Boo is a 5 month old Mountain Cur, and Kaya is a 1 year old Husky. She has said she does not expect me to pay her for her services. Other than caring for my pups, she is going to do some training as well. Any advice as to what her time is worth???? I'm struggling to come up with a fair amount to pay her. I'm lost because I've always had friends just check on my animals while I was away. Please help!

Boarding in my area costs $10/day. The closest trainer is over 2 hours away and I really don't know what the fees run.

Maybe you could just do something nice for her like buy her a really nice gift from your vacation spot or maybe even cook a nice dinner for her and have her over.

I agree with Shelly. Why not look for something nice you know she would like while on your trip or take her out to dinner once you get back?

I am sure you are creative. Look around to see what things she likes and let your imagination "take over". I am sure you will think of someway of repaying her. I am also sure she will be happy with whatever you come up with because it will be coming from your heart.
