Maybe when you're home try taking her out without her asking. Ask her if she has to go out. Get her to know the word out.

You're right, at the shelter she probably had to learn to hold it for long periods. Taking her out before asking might help. Sounds like she's a smart girl and catching on quick.

Oh - I OFTEN take her out without her "asking". And every time we take her out we say something like "ready to go potty?" or "time go go potty!" or something with the word "potty" in it that is short and sweet...lol...

She really DOES seem to be VERY smart. I think we got very lucky - sweet and smart and cute as can be. Can't beat that!
