Need help in Housetraining

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am a first time dog owner and I have recently got a Chihuahua from a local breeder - it is 12 weeks old. But, it is not fully housetrained.

It often eliminates at a remote corner in my bedroom. I have tried to use odor neutralizers and I have tried to catch it in action. Still, he feels that is his bathroom spot.

Any suggestion on how to control it?

Re: Need help in Housetraining

well outside of gettin the pup fully housetrained it is up to you to not allow your puppy to be doing that and that means that when you can't watch your pup like a hawk..... and I mean every single second.... then your pup needs to go into his crate. Every time your pup is allowed to sneak into that corner and pee you are making your housetraining more difficult as your puppy has learned at this point that the corner is where he goes.

I would make sure your pup is crate trained if he isn't already..... and then work on housetraining and there are lots of threads about housetraining.... however..... it is your responsibility to not let the pup into that corner.....
