Hi I just got a shiba inu Puppy. I have been taking him to work with me during the day. This has been going great. he sleeps in his crate and i work. The only problem that has arisen is the walk from the parking structure to my lab and back. Since he is so young and he is not leash trained yet and its about a half mile walk from the structure to my lab. about half way to the lab he starts screaming bloody murder like I'm killing him and its kinda embarrassing having the shiba scream in full force and I'm not doing anything. He was ok with being carried the first week i had him. Is there away to quiet him down until i can properly leash train him to walk to the lab and back? I have tried having a toy out but it only pacifies him for about 5 minutes then he starts screaming again.
I'm not convinced that you really want him to get used to this mode of transportation....it can make leash training more difficult.
How old is he?
The topic subject says 10 weeks. I've never owned a puppy so I can never remember at what point they get their second shots. I too would caution against getting the puppy used to being carried. You could wake up one day and have a full grown dog who refuses to walk.
