Question Help !!! What is your daily routine for your dogs & i just feed my pup raw meat !!!

I just want to knw what is your regular routine with your dogs or with your puppies. Mine would be feeding him at 10 am then play with him for a li while then put him back on his crate. His crate is big & the toilet is inside (toilet pads ) 24/7 petbottle water, and his bed. Most of the time he is inside his crate. I let him go out of his crate maybe 4 to 5 times a day just for a while to play or just to cuddle with me. And night time i feed him at 6 . Am i doin the right thing for my pup ?
He will soon to be 3 months old on the 13th & he already had his 2nd Vaccination. He is not yet allowed to go outside for a walk. Pls. in eed your replyto this ..thankyou.
I feed him Science Diet and baby milk cuz that is what the vet gave us. This morning i gave him chicken meat ( small bits ).First time to give him Raw food as i read that its ok to give him raw. Is it really ok to give him ??? Hes a toy poodle and i think he only weighs 1 kilo or so.pls help !

XS. Is it alright that most of the time he is living inside his crate ? this is a picture of him and his crate.

oh and the reason why he is not yet allowed to roam or to have the freedom to stay out of his crate is cuz hes still a puppy and we dont want him to poop or pee here & there. We would give him the freedom when he learns already and when is a lil grown up. Dya think what we are doin is fine???

Your puppy is really adorable and it's easy to tell that you love him already. I have a little cockapoo that looks mostly poodle.

My pup is almost 5 months now and we got her when she was 11 weeks old. I trained her to only potty outside in the backyard, in a particular spot. Pottying in the crate is not something I'm familiar with, but maybe others here can give you advice about that. Do you eventually want him to go outside?

My puppy was a little finicky about her food, so I just kept to a high-quality kibble that she was used to....occasional treats of chicken or cheese, but not much. I put a teaspoon of plain yogurt in her kibble now because she loves it and it's supposed to be good for her.

With potty training, I think keeping the water in the crate might make it hard. I keep Dory's water in a bowl, outside the crate. Then I know when she's had a big drink, so we'll be heading out to her spot soon!

You are right to limit freedom around the house for a while. Keep reading books and this forum to learn as much as you can about raising a puppy. You will gradually set a routine that works for you both.

thx kerry. We are livin a medium sized apartment so we dont have a backyard or a place where he can go out and do his thing. Soon, when its ok to let him go out for a walk ,then that would be the timefor him to do it outside.
I like to ask bout the yogurt that u mentioned. Is the yougurt for human ?? i would also want to try to give him if its best for him. And yes we love him already and he is so adorable. 2 weeks from now ,he will be entering training school so he will get the chance to socializewith other dogs.

Kerry, your puppy is soo cute as well. Dya feed him raw food ? How many times dya feed him ?

Here on the farm I do not have a routen. For many reasons but I just do not like getting the animals in a set schedual so things are mixed up as to what time things get done. However the horses are always taken care of first and the dogs go out and help with that. They love to be outside. Once chores are done we come in and eat then back out depending on weather.

I have been giving my dog raw food since he was about 3 months old, he is now 8 1/2 months and beautiful. One suggestion would be to take him out of the crate and take him right outside to do his business, then play with him. Feed him, wait about 10 minutes and take him out again to do his business. Everytime I would take him out of the crate I would take him outside to eliminate, seems like a good age to start housebreaking.

Does he get to walk around outside his crate in the house at all? An important part of house training him is letting him walk around while you supervise him, so you can show him what is and isn't okay to chew on. A leash comes in handy here. My corgi was leashed to me while outside his crate for the first several months of living here. It also prevents them from running off and pottying out of your sight.

I would take the puppy pads out of the crate. A dog has a natural instinct to not soil his den. That crate is your puppy's den. If you encourage him to soil in his crate, you could destroy that instinct for him, and it may be much more difficult to crate him later.

Are you in a house or an apartment? How how up? How difficult is it to get him outside to potty? If it's not that difficult, the best thing to do is to do away with the puppy pads and just start taking your pup outside only.

My best friend has a 9-month-old sheltie who is not potty trained, because she became dependent on puppy pads. And even then, she only uses them half the time. I'm actually getting ready to keep this dog for a month and potty train her for my friend. >X.x;<

thx cheetah for your reply. Yes he gets to walk outside his crate, meaning inside the house but with my supervision.Just recently, i bought him a collar and a leash then i walk him inside the house. He is turning 3 months old this 13th of March.
Regarding the puppy pads out of the crate. I dont know if that would be a better move at this time Cheetah cuz its not only a puppy pads, its a small tray where he has to do his peeing & pooing on top of it.Its like a small toilet.the puppy pad is inside the tray & it has a smell where a pup can only smell for him to do it there. Japan's cage are set to be like this .Its a medium sized ,big enough for him as a toy poodle, with a bed and small toilet inside. If u could see the attachment i posted here u wd see what im talkin about.
I did what u said to put outside the tray or his toilet but it wont work cuz i have to leash him 24/7 inside his cage so he cant go anywhere to do his thing. It didnt work though. I put the tray back to his room again or his cage. By the way, he doesnt pee or poo on his bed or on other side of his room,he only does it on that small tray cuz the pad has a smell teachin him to just do it there.

We live in a medium sized apartment and on the 2nd floor. And he is not yet allowed to go outside for a walk or to do pottyin outside cuz he is not yet done with his 3rd vaccine.THe vet told us that if he is done with the 3rd then we can take him outside.

And this morning, i tried to take him outside our apt just on the corridor and he was so scared to walk. Its his first time to be in the outside world. He was chilling and shakin. I told my husband what i did and he got mad at me cuz i should be following what the vet told us not to take him outside yet. Well, i dint really took him out,we were only in the corridor.

Your toy poodle is adorable. I had a westie before my standard poodle. Both times I had professional trainers in and both trainers agreed that you do not want a large crate. You want one small enough that they can turn around in it, that is it. It is supposed to be their "den". I think you can buy dividers for that crate to make it smaller. I actually used Vari-Kennels for both my dogs and although that standard poodle was easier to housebreak (4 1/2 months) when we got diligent with our Westie she was housebroken by about 6 61/2 months. It is hard work, you need to put them on a schedule but it all pay s off in the end.
