Dogs are all different in the way they eat. I wouldn't worry about her eating fast, but if it bothers you, you could feed a little at a time, though she'll probably inhale those little bits too.

If you feed her around other dogs, she could feel that she needs to rush so that the other dogs don't get her food. Separating her could solve that, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about. Just relax.

Put a ball or something in her food dish so she has to work around it to get to the food (or some other toy, big enough to not accidently be eaten).

The ball idea is a good one. The idea is to her to work for her food. I have two springers and they will slow down with age. Eating to fast will cause problems, anything from barfing after she eats to not getting enought out of her food due to it not breaking down properly due to not be chewed. Has she been wormed? Pet stores carry a food dish with three things sticking up in the dish so the dog has to work at getting the kibble. Guping her food could very well cause digestion issues, so you are right to be worried. You could soak the kibble in water and wait till it is soggy to give it to her, that way it will be harder to wolf it down and will digest better. Good luck. Is this your first springer?

Yes this is our first english springer spaniel. Thank you for the information about the dog dish. The ball didn't work as well she would pick the ball out of the dish and just start inhaling her food.

On a different thread, a poster gave this website, which I think is a great idea. It might solve your problem.

That's the dish I was talking about, did not know what it was called. It is a very good idea.

She would remove the ball from her dish, to funny! Shows how smart she is!

I would get the bowl, you will notice a great difference.

Good luck
