Sleeping problems???

Im not sure if this is a problem but i have had my pup for 2 days (she is 8 weeks) she is being crate trained and is getting good at going in her crate on her own Which i praise her for, if she is playing she will come and sit on me and when i stroke her she normally falls asleep so i have been putting her straight in her crate to sleep am i right to do this. As much as i love her sleeping on me i want to make sure she knows the crate is for sleeping.

Crate training your pup is an excellent choice. This will give her a safe place to sleep and escape from commotion if there are alot of guests in the house. Crate training is also a wonderful tool (and trust me you'll thank it later) in potty training the puppy, as long as the crate is the appropriate size.

Start getting her to climb in there on her own, assign a word like "Crate" or "Bed", whichever you please. Keep some nice toys in their and always praise like crazy when she goes in there - you want to make it a positive experience!

You can check out this site for other tips and info - good luck!
