How much longer will it take?

for Gabi to be trusted??? Ugg. I know you guys can't give a precise answer, but any thoughts on how long it will take for Gabi to be housetrained? I got her at 61/2 months. She's now a little over 8 months...so I've had her almost two months now. She's good most of the time, and if I"m watching her she does well. She's crated and doesn't seem to pee in the crate unless I have a blanket in there (that was taken out).

She was doing real well, and then she got a UTI. The UTI seems to be clearing up. But, yesterday I made the mistake of letting her wander off (with three, it happens). I usually tether her to me...but I guess I was giving her too much credit. She was downstairs alone...and I KNEW...I just KNEW. Yep, I went down there and she had pottied. Bad mommy.

At this age, how long will it take to potty train her? (oh, we are on a strict schedule. They go out frequently, after eating, when they wake, after play, just before bedtime). Yesterday was completely my fault...we had gone on a long walk (she didn't potty) and then I brought them in. silly me. I typically NEVER bring her in without seeing her potty.

Ripley was difficult to train, moreso than the other dogs, but it was like a light bulb went on at about 9 months. So hopefully not much longer for you....

Durbkat has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Re: How much longer will it take?

Every dog is different, Snoopy was pad trained by 10 weeks and I started house training him at 5 months, he was pretty good at 6 months and was reliable by 7 months.

It sounds like gabi almost has it and it sounds like your loosening up the restrictions to quick, not trying to sound rude. Just make sure you keep up with it and crate her when you can't watch her and tie her to you when you can watch her on and off.
