Sandy Paws?

This weekend our family is going up to the lake and I'd love to let Gizmo experience water. He's never been in a lake of any kind, so I'd like to let him explore on his own (in other words, walk in as opposed to being dropped in).

My only question - will his paws be okay on the sand? I don't want anything to get stuck up there that could hurt him. Suggestions? Experiences?

THANKS!

Re: Sandy Paws?

I have an 8 month old morkie....Maltese/Yorkie mix. This summer I brought her to the beach, a lake and a pool. I put her in all 3 and she was fine. She just swam. It was the cutest thing
