Innova Size

Since Innova seems the most promising food despite not being sold in any locations near me, I've decided to order a small Senior bag of it for Panda. Before I do, I'm just wondering if anyone knows how big the kibble is and how hard it is? Panda's teeth are not very good because she won't let me open her mouth to brush. I'll be taking her in to the vet for some dental work soon. As it is, she doesn't like her current food and the crap the vet assistant recommended is way too big and hard for her to chew, but she obviously likes the taste of it since she picks it out of her current food while trying to transition it. Then she just swallows it. Psh. (Accidentally posted the topic about that in the wrong section, heh.)

Also, is it okay to switch a puppy's food? Or would it be better to wait until he's older? Right now, as I've mentioned before, he's on Science Diet because that's all the place had and it was the only brand I'd ever heard good things about before. It makes his poop smell HORRIBLE. I almost throw up cleaning it after he's had an accident. If this Innova works well for Panda, I'd like to get him on it, too.

Thanks in advance.

I feed the Innova EVO, which comes in "small bites" and regular. I get the small bites for my (big) dogs. Sorry, I can't remember how the other Innova comes. Google their website to check it out.

If Panda has bad teeth, it may hurt to chew; you'll be better informed after the vet visit.

I don't even feed puppy food. It will be perfectly fine to feed all life stages food to a puppy, so feel free to go ahead and gradually switch the puppy's food to the Innova, so both are on the same food. Hopefully, they will both do just fine on it.

Re: Innova Size

Innova is good, I like the Evo like Poodleholic posted about. They come in small bites and it was fine for Teddie to eat.

If you don’t mind me asking, Where in Utah are you located? There are a lot of retail shops that sell good brands of food.

If the Innova doesn’t work out another brand to try out is Wellness Core. My Ted is doing fantastic on it. Within the week of him being on it his coat already looks better. It’s always good when you find the right food for your dog. It can make a world of difference.

Re: Innova Size

When Gracie was a pup I fed her Innova Puppy Food. They are all on Innova Adult food now and doing well. Mine are all small dogs and are able to handle the size of kibble. If the kibble is too hard for Panda to chew, I suggest adding a little warm water which will soften it a little.

I live in Spanish Fork. Innova's website said the nearest places are in Provo/Orem, about 15-20 minutes north. One of those places has a terrible review that makes me never want to give them business. I don't drive and don't have anyone really dependable for getting around. (And the bus goes to some of the weirdest stops ever... it took me two hours to get to Provo last time.)

I'm gonna try to get to the other one soon. I'm not keen on ordering FOOD online. :|
