| pissing only on the WRONG places Hello
I have my little 2 months old dog from less than 24 hours and I have problem with his pissing. When i bought it, the doctor said to put newspapers on a lot of places, so he will be somehow forced to piss on newspaper, then with passing time to remove the newspapers one by one, to change their positions, then to move them to the WC and in the end to remove all newspapers and my puppy will get habit to go directly to WC.
My little and incredibly sweet puppy is on other opinion. He doesn't see the newspapers which are almost everywhere and seems totally to dislike the WC on its own. (I stood with the puppy inside in waiting it to do something for about 15 min., at least to see inside to don't be scared) So he is pissing everywhere, but not on the right places.
I am living in apartment so I don't have yard. But the apartment is pretty big and have place for even very big dog. Going out (at street) for pissing in day time is not possible (am married to an Iranian man so in the present moment am living in Iran which is little messed country, and going out with dog in front of all the other people is something not normal and am not joking at all - risky).
So I really, really need an advice. I want to keep both my puppy and home clean. I wish my dog to learn where is the right place for doing that "job". |

| Re: pissing only on the WRONG places Put the papers only where the dog will end up going from now on. Papers everywhere is very confusing and it's just going to make the training longer. Get a leash on the dog. Take him to the papers every 10 - 20 minutes and tell him to PEE. Wait. When he pees, go nuts! Celebrate! PRAISE! Act stupid happy! YAY! GOOD DOG! GOOD PEE! Give him a treat, show him how wildly good he is.
Pay attention. When he starts looking around for a place to go, scoop him up and bring him to the papers. I have even scooped pups up mid pee with a quick UH UH or NO PEE! and then run them to the correct spot. lol. They'll continue to pee but you must must must WAIT for them to go.
Be consistent. When he has an accident anywhere, blame yourself for not paying close enough attention. Don't worry, he'll get it. He just needs you to teach him. It takes time, attention and patience. Also, get the cleanser specifically for cleaning up accidents so there is no lingering smell that will make him go anywhere but on the correct papered location.
If you must go out, enclose him in the area he's allowed to pee in. That way, if he ends up peeing, he's all ready in the right spot.
Good luck! |

Housebreak him, have him pee outside the house instead of having his peeing place (lol) in your home. |

I'm curious though, what is a WC? |

you just got this dog, 24 hours ago, and your aggrivated that he's not potty trained?
lol u have a loooooooooooooooooooong way to go girl.
Pet supermarket has a little tiny bottle of the WORST-SMELLING-LIQUID in the world. spray some on a puppy pad and he'll go there.
he also has a very small bladder, so he cant hold alot.
lol good luck... |

| Re: pissing only on the WRONG places I don't know what your situation is or the tools you may have access to, however, if you can put the papers in the wc, cover the floor, and take your pup to the papers after naps, eating, and/ or playing until he/she goes potty on the papers. Reward the pup with lots of praise and even treats when he/she does go.
Take the pup to the place for doing its business frequently and watch for clues that the pup might be looking for a place to go and get him/her there.
As he/she gets the association, he/she will start going to that room on its own. When the pup is going to that room to go potty, regularly, you can start making the size of the papered area smaller. It does take time, and effort, but it can be done. |
