Hello

I have just joined the forum not to long ago. I have recently got a new pup for me and my boyfriend (mostly for me) . She is 10 weeks now and a Blue Heeler. She is a good dog and very smart, I am looking forward to some good years with her.
This forum has been VERY helpful. Giving me tips on some problem areas that we have found... walking on a lead (or not walking in this case), Peeing inside, and whining. Its nice to know I am not alone.
We have LOTS of time for this little girl. She comes to work with me each day, I work in an office but I take her for an hour walk in the morning so she is nice and tired and sleeps most of the day. I just take her out for pees when she wakes up from her naps. She also has lots of toys to play with, when she decided so wake from her slumber.
She also comes on an hour walk with me on the way home from work each day as well... with LOTS of playtime at night with me and my boyfriend so she is nice and tired for bedtime. We have her sleeping in our room with us as we tired to have her sleep on her own but she just howled and we have to many neighbors to let her carry on like that. We have started to train her to be on her own. Putting her in the spare room with toys etc. for an hour and then longer and longer. She whines a bit but we ignore her. We do this during the day so hopefully she will learn that its ok to be on her own.
She eats 3 times a day... I am not to sure when I need to cut that down to 2 and then one... should look that up.
She loves everyone and has to meet people on the street. I dont like this habit and I am trying to get her to stop but I am not to sure how.
ANYWAYS thats some of my story of ROO.. if anyone has tips etc.. would love to hear!
This is Roo on the beach, being a bat dog.
