There are TONS of Poms in your area just looking for homes! I'd suggest going to www.petfinder.com and clicking on the breed search. Enter in your criteria and....poof! Lots of dogs! Even some puppies! Here are just a few I found:

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7352936

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7352961

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7190901 (This little pup is a Pom/Bichon mix....sorta like a Pom/Poodle mix.)

Just remember, that if you buy from a breeder:
Their dogs need to have CH titles, as well as any other title like TT, CGC, CD, CDX, or others.
Their dogs all need to be health tested: OFA'd, CERF'd, thyroid tested, etc.
They only breed one or two breeds.

If you need help trying to decide whether or not a breeder is ethical or not, feel free to PM me. If you want a mix breed, go to a shelter. If you want a purebred pup, go to a breeder.

Escellent post, blackrose. I agree. . .adoption would be a wonderful thing for you to do and you will easily find dogs that fit your criteria.
